And people hated the Saints then before the SB during SB weeks and and still hate them today.
Go figure!!

It seems if you are the loudest, nastiness, then it is NFL fandom.

Russell Wilson is a good guy, very good guy.
Not all SS are like Sherman an that Golden creature and some others.

Like him or not for his on field plays, CKapernick is a pretty decent guy.

I have posted before, form the most part during these Coach SP years, the Saints have not had any players acting crazy , showboating, l talking trashy and stuff like that. He runs it pretty tight about that it seems.
For the most part, they are mild in the celebratory wins and interviews.

Joe Horn was one of the few that come to mind, and nothing he did was anywhere near that display by Sherman.
Turley, same thing

All you who say he classless and all that look at yourselves and and tell me if someone was talkin trash to you that you wouldn't be fired up. He can talk his talk cus he's been walkin his walk since he's been in the league, i been saying this since i saw him at stanford the draft experts got this wrong the tape shows an outstanding cover corner!

Arrogant people remind others of their own insecurities. Everybody should be humble, even if they have to fake it according to public opinion.

Have class. Be classy. Stay classy. Lmao. That **** always sounded so lame.

Don't recall Jordan ever chasing somebody down after a game to scream in their face or going ballistic WWE style into a camera. Don't even compare those two.

You are totally wrong. Jordan talked crap on the court to get in his opponents minds but when the game was over shook their hands and went on his way. Sherman went the WWE route like he's shooting some epic promo with Mean Gene for a PPV match. Matter of fact Saints fans do get at our own players if they something dumb. Galette was trash talking the Fins players in a interview and every Saint fan thought that was disrespectful. I hate PC stuff as well but when it's time to handle business and do an interview you have to act like you have sense.

First off he chased after crabtree after he made the play to tell him his breath stunk, Second who cares when he chose to chant down crabtree. Jordan did it throughout the entire game...his entire career. Closing your eyes at the free throw line shows alot of respect and class to your opponent wouldn't you say, its just the same as tellin crabtree that he made one of the biggest plays in playoff history. To me it looks like he went to congratulate Crabtree for a hard fought game and he took it another way regardless, he was fired up that they are going to the chip no more no less, where is the harm done? To compare them I can because Great competitors Talk. Like him or not Terrell Owens talked a whole lot and he was GREAT! Dion Sanders like him or not he talked and was GREAT! Michael Irvin talked Ray lewis talked Jerry Rice talked Dan Marino Talked, Elway talked even Peyton Manning Talks sh-T too, so if you want to have a witch hunt, hunt with your own educated opinion not the medias force fed. Again consider WHY they went to go find Richard Sherman, not Russell Wilson, not Marshawn Lynch, not Earl Thomas Not Pete Carroll Not even Jermaine Kearse for his go ahead TD not Irvin for his game ending int, they went to Sherman because 1 they need a media circus of the sorts to get us through the boring A_S pro bowl. Respect the man, he gave Jimmy Graham no catches in the divisional games, he shut the door on SF's title hopes, he'll get 18 also if he throws over there next month The man plays ball. it's on his matchup to shut him up so don't blame Sherm blame crabtree for not going to get the ball blame kaepernik for throwing at him, blame Harbaugh for calling the play blame Erin Andrews for passing off the Mic blame her producer for sending her blame fox for airing it don't blame the man for doing his job just because he told you he was shut it down

Don't take it personal jack its just for the sake of argument. Thats very true donuts however but thats sportsmanship to shake up after a win/loss. Ali played these mind games too and still told you how bad he beat you while he did it and after his belt was fastened around his wait. As a former player I can say with every fiber of my being I hated every single child, teen, youngman, and grown man I've ever played football against after the games yea sure you shake it up, football especially highly organized football, players can develop rivalries and a deep dislike for one another it happens I hated every team player coach mascot mother father uncle sister of every one not wearing my school colors, I as a fan I hate everything to do with atlanta so much that i refuse to book flights that connect in georgia! Two proper nouns in lower case letter shows my disdain, fact of the matter is the adage He who laughs last laughs best and Sherman is laughing still. Let him have his time, Nobody b___ed when John Casillas was makin snow angels in confetti, homerism aside you could have the same argument that, that showed a level of class lower then expected whether we share the same opinion or not he truly did nothing wrong

Why do we kill the lion when some idiot sticks his hand in the lions cage..... He knew exactly what he was doing...... He's a genius, you know what we won't be talking about for two weeks, how Russell Wilson is struggling.... He just put that whole team on his shoulders and if they win the Super Bowl..... He's your MVP for what he just did..... Class, it might not show class but it was one smart move on his part...... Btw no cursing in that rant, just a little bit of I'm the best deal wit it......Stanford grad, stayed in school to graduate..... Highly educated, super competitive.... Biggest game of his life he just got mush faced by Crabtree, and you jam a mic in his face.... You wonder why you got your hand bit off, then you can see she's trying to ask him another question and they tell her to cut short.....but he's the thug.....lol

You guys who are loving on Sherman, that is your right. But here, and with all NFL fans, and society in general, you will be in the minority.

Don't equate what he did to trash talking. As noted above, trash-talking is part of the mental game, during the game. A moronic taunt and rant after the play is childish and malicious. If you see it differently, so be it.

My take is that if that was my son screaming at a reporter instead of celebrating, then I would be deeply emarrassed.

If your son, was 23, 24.... In the prime of his life and just made a play for an emotional win, his reaction is one he makes as his own individual adult....

In sports there's a moment where we as fans want raw, real emotion, or else why would you jam a mic in his face, why are you upset because the reaction is not the one you desired........ It's like saying hay I want this steak, but I don't wanna know what it took to get the steak on the plate

Disagree.
Your kids will always be a reflection on you. And again, if that was my son, I would not be making much eye contact at the grocery, church, etc.
Raw emotion is 'Yes, we won!". Not, "I am best! NO ONE can't talk to me"

Apparently there's more to the story. Crabtree tried to fight Sherman at a charity event and there's been bad blood between the two ever since. It was tacky what Sherman did as he could have taken the high road... but he didn't and I really don't care. That's not our problem to deal with.

Maybe so Papz, but that still doesn't excuse him for going on national TV and acting like an uncivilized jackass.

Thanks goodness it's not our problem. I would be embarrased to be a Saints fan today if he was wearing black and gold when he did that.

I don't have any problems with his gobbledygook Muhammad Ali speech -- in fact, the sixth or seventh time I saw it repeated on the news, I got to really liking it.

BUT the choke thing, and the patting Crabtree on the a--, REALLY pissed me off. The choke thing, or taunting another player in such a big emotional situation, that's just uncalled for. The classy and appropriate thing to do in that situation is to celebrate with your own team mates and pretend the other team doesn't exist, then shake hands with them later. Can you imagine if a kid did that choke gesture in a high school game, what would the parents and coaches and officials think.

Re: Class interview by Seahawks sherman

Just watched TO of all people try and defend Sherman via Skype.

People like Sherman wear their education on their sleeve as if it's
Ulitmus paper that somehow validates their actions or opinions. I get it, Sherman is a Stamford graduate and I'm sure his family is very proud.

His degree is in communication..... Interesting use of his degree. Perhaps it will be used for his Masters thesis.

Back to my point, his rant was bathed in "I want the respect I feel I am owed". Respect is over rated, no one owes anyone anything, and there are bigger idiots with degrees.... bigger thugs with degrees from more prestigious universities.

Richard Sherman is one of the best CBs in this league presently... That's about the end of it. It takes more than a college degree to be intelligent, more than two pro bowls to make the Hall of Fame.

If Richard Sherman had a career ending injury this week he would never be on any NFL greatest lists, and after 2 years had passed only Seahawks fans would remember him.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I liked Sherman. He annoys Roddy "I hate New Orleans" White, so that was good enough for me.

But I like to like the players I root for. And after that display, to me, he's just another professional athlete with no class. He's a great player but I'm not going to root for him.

But that's just me.

He sounded like he wanted to say the n word in the interview but to claim yourself as greatest is saying a lot. No matter how much trash Jordan, Sanders, or whoever talked they still didn't belittle the competition. Even when we stomped the bucs last year we didn't go as far to say they aren't even worthy to play us.

As much as I dislike Sherm I still would like someone with talent like him on my team lol

I clearly think he was pissed because Crabtree mush faced him, the choke sign and all the other antics didn't come till after the Crabtree pushed him away....

Did he lie though? He didn't lie......he is the best right now.... Another thing he did was sold this Super Bowl..... Even if you didn't wanna watch you wanna see him get his ass kicked.......he's the Floyd mayweather of football.....

Like hell they didn't.....Jordan gave a hall of fame speech that belittled his own coaches for not seeing him and putting him in sooner, The year Larry Bird missed the three point shooting contest, Craig hodges won it and when asked about it bird responded with a comment to the effect " craig hodges......you mean that guy at the end of the Bulls bench" or something to that effect...... It's not the first or last time we will see something like that.....

What a soft and weak society we have become. Please read and learn about Dick Butkis. He was the meanest man that walked the earth and their was nothing civil about him and oh Yeah, he is in the hall of fame and the greatest Linebacker to ever play the game. Richard Sherman is a bad ass, the guy covers the best of the best and puts them on lockdown. That is why people hate this man. He takes your best weapon and destroys them. He grew up with nothing, got a Stanford education and is the best corner in football. Yet he speaks his mind and all we talk about is Sherman is a bad man. I will take the man that tells me what he thinks 10 times over the "classy" man like Brady who talks sh*t during the game and lies how he respects his opponents. What's the matter Brady? He made an ass out of you and now you are butthurt? Please!

What about a loser like Bill Belicheat? He trashes Wes Welker to the media, spys on other teams and steals their signals, only way he can win a superbowl. Wes Welker made a legal play and yet he destroys his character. Act like he has been there before? He hasn't LOL. Do I agree with his choice of words, no but he isn't beating his wife, shooting people or getting in bar fights.

Crabtree brought the fight to him and he lost. Crabtree decided to woof before the game, so Sherman woofed after. Where were all you when Crabtree was talking sh*t???

I don't think anybody here is questioning his ability on the field. I don't think anybody cares about trash talking to the opponent on the field. That's part of the game. Nobody is questioning wether Sherman is an excellent football player. He is. Nobody is questioning his education. We know he went to Stamford. We've been told that 1000 times this week on tv and the radio. But when he gets up on national television for an interview, and he acts like an uncivilized hood rat, screaming at the camera, screaming at the lady doing the interview, and screaming at me, yeah, he's gonna lose a whole bunch of respect and draw a whole lot of criticism. If he wants to act like a screaming baboon on the field, in the locker room, or at practice, fine. But don't ever act like that in my living room...period.
