"Holy crap, this is a lot of money for Tyson Jackson. I don't get it. Jackson offers zero as a pass-rusher. He's a dominant force against the run, but it's not often wise to play defensive linemen this sort of money if they happen to be one-dimensional like Jackson is. Besides, it's not like Jackson has the best track record. He struggled for years in Kansas City before breaking out in 2013. What's to stop him from reverting to his 2009-2012 sluggish form?"

Jackson wasn't signed to help with our pass rush. Chances are that we're switching to a base 3-4 but we'll still play the hybrid D. Jackson is a big body for a DE so a 3-4 is where he'll fit best.

"Paul Soliai is a great fit for the Falcons. He can play in any scheme, and the Falcons play multiple fronts, so it makes a ton of sense. Soliai is a monstrous run-stuffer and can also get after the quarterback, so he'll provide a massive upgrade for Atlanta on the interior."

There it is right there. We're looking to push the pocket more and Soliai can help do that. If his production decreases badly in his later years, then we'll just cut him. Our situation isn't like the Cowboys. We'll have money.

We're also trying to change our mentality and culture in the trenches. TD, Smith, and Blank have stated that over and over. Asamoah, Soliai, and Jackson also help bring that size and especially new attitude we need.

Y'all need to forget about the "mentality and culture in the trenches" and focus on the front office which clearly has questionable "mentality" and "culture". In fact, there is no culture in Atlanta. Never has been. That is your biggest hurdle and I see no moves going on to correct that.

And oh yeah, your QB has a noodle arm too. thplt!!!!
