Re: Jim Irsay arrested for DUI, possession of controlled substance
Its not the DUI that concerns me the most but a Already admitted drug addict. Getting caught with more drugs. His team has excess to all kinds of pain killers and what not its too easy for a known addict to have access to them. These owners along with the commish set the rules for drug use for players so he should know the consequences and should be held to a higher standard. Now maybe selling the Team is a little much but he should have to stay away from the team for a year.Something similar to the Sean Payton Suspension Where he can have absolutely no contact with the team or NFL for a period of time

Re: Jim Irsay arrested for DUI, possession of controlled substance
I wonder how a 4 game suspension works for an owner. He donates all profits from the team for a month? He can't show up at the offices?

Don't think alot of the working class people haven't lost their jobs because of a DUI or a minor drug arrest because There most certainly have been. What would happen to you if you had the same thing happen to you I could almost guarantee you would be having a very serious discussion about your future with your employer

Re: Jim Irsay arrested for DUI, possession of controlled substance
On Monday morning, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He also faces four felony counts of possession of a controlled substance after police found several Schedule IV prescription drugs in his vehicle.
After news of Irsay’s arrest came to light, people in the media and around the Colts organization began sharing the belief that Irsay was going down a dark path. Members of the Colts organization had urged Irsay to enter a rehab facility before everything reached a boiling point, and he seems to have finally taken their advice. The team announced on Tuesday afternoon that Irsay had voluntarily checked himself in to a rehab facility. “Yesterday, Jim Irsay took the first step toward regaining good health,” the Colts said in a statement released on Tuesday. “He voluntarily checked into a highly-respected health care facility and is committed to undergoing the treatment and care necessary to help him meet his challenges head-on. Jim, the Irsay family, and the Colts organization are all deeply appreciative of the incredible outpouring of support and compassion from our fans and the Indiana community.” It is encouraging to see Irsay taking the necessary steps to beat his addiction and hopefully he will be able to get the help and support that he needs to regain control of his life. Whether his decision to enter the rehab facility on his own helps limit the punishment he receives from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell remains to be seen, but that is of secondary importance as his main focus should be on taking care of his health. W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.
