this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; I believe we are obviously trying to win a Super Bowl, NOW!! My question is why we haven't tried bringing in some veteran help and use what's left in their tank? I know we're "talking" to Champ Bailey but why ...

In it to Win it

I believe we are obviously trying to win a Super Bowl, NOW!! My question is why we haven't tried bringing in some veteran help and use what's left in their tank? I know we're "talking" to Champ Bailey but why not guys like James Harrison or Anthony Spencer? Both of which we were pursuing last offseason

My guess is the front office feels there are better options than old declining players.

We're at the cap right now, any vet is likely 1 million or more.

Why go near Harrison when you have Junior, Butler and Haralson and you can draft one in a stacked draft.
