Well it seems that the coaches feel differently, because it doesn't look like they're going to match and the CFL "project" is the backup plan right now... For all I know, they could draft a mid round safety or White could play more safety

True. I just wouldn't have as much of a problem with them matching as others have suggested. I'd say that if he isn't brought back then you could probably count on a late round safety being picked...

I wouldn't be surprised to see Champ Bailey playing some safety.

You are right but I would prefer he stay at corner & help groom the younger guys. With his decline in speed, I'm not sure playing center field would be the best spot for him at this stage of his career.

But a three safety look with Bailey, Vaccaro, and Byrd with Lewis and Robinson on the corners has lots of potential :bng:

I like that!! But we still have a hole at the back-up FS spot. Bush was more of a SS to me and Bailey should get some good looks at the SS position and play well.

I have not seen any Superbowl or Bust, comments.

Champ wanted to play S in Denver they wouldn't move him.

Most of the NFL pundits I hear are saying that the Saints are obviously going "all in" for another Super Bowl before Brees is "done".

Champ said he "would" play safety. "Would", in my mind, is much different than "want"....
