Julio Jones' Brother shot in Gulf Shores, loses arm.

Curious as to what is going on that gets a person shot with a shotgun at close range?

Not like you can tote that in your t-shirt pocket in the summer and for enough damage to cause the loss of an arm... This was far enough to have a barrel between them but close enough for the shot pattern to have not spread very much.

I have no idea what his brother was like. He may have been a gang banger or just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

There is a pretty bad gang problem in Foley (adjacent to Gulf Shores) but it would be unfair to speculate that it was an issue in the shooting.

No speculation here, just the nature of the incident leaves me with questions. For all we know the old man broke into his house, but it didn't happen at a gun range and it wasn't a cleaning accident.

I know getting shot with a shotgun at close enough range to result in an felony arrest and loss of limb doesn't happen every day with out at least one of them being where they shouldn't have been.

George Bennett Sutton (53) was arrested on Felony First Degree Assault charges. It is a Class B felony but requires intent and some degree of indifference to humanity.
