To be clear, I was not talking about an NFL team in my comment. I was alluding to speculative "journalism" outside of football coming to the conclusion that he was cut for being openly gay.

I honestly don't feel any NFL team will pass on a man that can contribute to their pass-rush and make plays on defense. Maybe it's me being naive, but the bottom line of NFL teams is to win NFL games regardless of the sexual orientation of any of their players.

If a hunter-orange transsexual man with brown polka dots and 2 husbands can help win NFL football games, I highly doubt a team would pass on this NFL-caliber football player.

Precisely my point... They would not pass on a talent that would make them a better team because of his sexuality, but an overwhelming majority would pass on a A&M QB loaded with drama and questionable character.

Hunter-orange tranny gets the jersey over Chad Ocho-Cinco by at least 2/3 of the league.

Now how it's framed by the public is an entirely different discussion.

And I think now it's pretty clear why an overwhelming majority passed on that A&M QB drafted by Cleveland as he couldn't beat out Hoyer through training camp and the preseason. Also, I certainly appears now that Manziel was a product of that offensive system down at A&M. And here's my algebraic theorem to prove that:

A&M Offense + Johnny Manziel = 1989 U. of Houston offense + Andre Ware
A&M Offense + Kenny Hill = 1990 U. of Houston offense + David Klingler

The current A&M offense has become the equivalent of the U. of Houston's offense in the late 80's/early 90's. This should keep our fan base sourly against wanting to pick up Johnny Whatever later down the road and for wanting to draft Kenny Hill when that inevitable question pops in a year or 2. Wow...complete tangent...not erasing it; can't erase that true brilliance of mine

And I am so glad we "came out" amicably on our Sam discussion. If he keeps working hard to get better, he can definitely be a solid option on someone's defensive line in a year. If we weren't so deep a defensive line, I wouldn't might at all giving him a shot here to give us quality d-line depth.
