Re: NFL loses a corporate partner for its breast cancer initiative
Roger has got a full blown crisis on his hands and it is totally of his own creation. And it doesn't matter what he parades around doing or saying from this point on. Same with Clapper from the NSA. They will both go down in history as certified liars with no integrity. If the owners are not willing to cut the cord then they also have no integrity. He should have been fired a week ago.

Re: NFL loses a corporate partner for its breast cancer initiative
Goodell's job is to take heat for the owners and be the lightning rod. He's making them tons of money.
What surprised me, honestly, about the Outside the Lines reporting, was learning that the minute that coach Harbaugh heard about it, he wanted to cut Rice, pretty much immediately, on the spot, saying Rice has got to go. I actually kind of admire him for that. It was Goodell and the Ravens and the league office who backpedalled and circled around the issue. |

Re: NFL loses a corporate partner for its breast cancer initiative
ALRIGHT everyone, meaning companies, have started pulling ad's and things and it is now at the point of being silly and POINTLESS!!!!
RICE knocked out his wife....see tape. Yeah it was ugly. The Mrs. does not mind nor does her father and sister. What can YOU do in something not of your control no matter who YOU are. I DO NOT support , know and need awareness etc. or think DV is ok. It is a very serious situation but there are different cases , different people and no one size fits all. If ANYONE is so concerned about DV then there are PLENTY of women running for their lives, poor, trapped, unknown, etc. Visit shelters in cities . Shelters need volunteers and money and donations of fod, clothing. Go for it!!! RR wife could have left. RR is happy. She is happy. It is sick to me, to YOU, but we all are powerless here in something not OUR business. How much did NFL know? Who knew what and when? This is not a federal case. NFL did what they do with all NFL players who are in legal trouble. They give a bit of suspension and take them back later after the guys do some community service, pay fines, go to court, see a therapist...etc. Show stuff is all!! NOW, maybe the NFL has reached a turning point and will enforce some morality clauses which they have, but really never bothered too much with. That makes sense and is not hard to do. NFL is a private company and one does not HAVE to be hired by the NFL to play football. It is a privilege to. NFL found out the public and sponsors which are the money, really are distrubed by these AP and RR cases and the few others of the past months. The public and sponors HAVE PUT UP WITH A LOT from NFL players and the public, advertisments, etc. have not gone to these extremes before. Ok, NFL thought, they could do this business as usual. Not this time. RR is OUT!! Peterson is OUT!!! RR and AP are OUT and are to handle their business with the law, whatever . They should never be allowed back. What else needs to be done? What else can the NFL do? Goodell is IN and IN to stay per the owners, his bosses. Now, I do think the NFL needs to get a good PR firm and get Goodell to interview and one time interview of NFL Net..... they handled it as best they could to investigate...give these people time to make things right in their lives, support....give privacy to the innocent-AP's kids, etc. and Mrs. RR....stuff like that. NFL could do a "woe is me kind of thing." NFL needs to put a lid on this once and for all and shut this down. It is week three of the NF and time for football. Best defense is a good offense right!!! Is that the saying? There are many, many good guys in football, coaches and good women in football in the business side. Good people. The good people always get overshadowed by the bad people. The NFL hired some women from various DV causes etc. to be some kind of talking heads, face for them in these current situations. It is silly. A bandaid. NFL hires 3 domestic violence experts in wake of Ray Rice, other scandals - NY Daily News What are they going to do ? Really? Are any NFL players victims of DV? "Hello. My name is E. I am a def. tackle , 360 lbs and I try to be home from work after the game...my girl is so jealous...she watches me , isolates me from people and I work really hard in practice and watch film and and I try so hard to be what she wants me to be and sometimes if I do not win and make tunrovers... I am so stupid.. 12 th man on the field last week was me, and she made me watch film all night and she, my girl, beats me up. She punches me. ...help me. I want to leave her. " This post about BC Awareness got me because The Koeman Foundation has many legal issues. Google it. I did not read the link , but I am sure the KF is NOT pulling its BC Awareness PR from the NFL. Too profitable for the KF. The NFL supports the Koeman Foundation as does Yoplait, Sally's Beauty Supply , and many others. KF rakes in TONS of money, non-profit I believe ,of course. Don't forget the Walk! What does it do? |
