Congrats to Sproles-z

this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; He just ran an 82yrder punt return for TD and at the start of this big play, SF decided to grab his facemask. It is not good to do that to Mighty Man....

And our return team could barely give him 5 yards

Re: Congrats to Sproles-z

No kiddin...his talent was wasted here with McMahon as Special Teams Coordinator.

Also, ol' Malcolm Jenkins had a Pick 6 as well.

Ex-Saints - 14 / San Fran - 10...midway through 2nd quarter

Re: Congrats to Sproles-z

Barry, I know he is 31, BUT...I get the business-contracts-salary cap thingy, BUT....NO, I did not agree or understand that decision.

I keep hearing them during this game talk about Mighty Man and you are only up to the 2nd qrtr. What else is going to do? LOL!!!

I wish Sproles-z the best. I hope he does not get injured and retires nicely with a good career of some records, etc. He is a hard act to follow.

Sproles is such a classy dude. The front office pulled the trigger on Sproles knowing they were targeting Cooks in the draft, or at least that is how it appears now. I can see the business-side with the decision, trading 31 years old for 21 years old. But we do miss that experience Sproles brought, and hopefully we can press forward with Cooks as he gets more game-time experience. Hard to replace, though, like you said.
