Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton injured in car accident Tuesday
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was put on a stretcher and taken to the hospital on Tuesday after being injured in a car accident in Charlotte on Tuesday, according to the Charlotte Observer.
The extent of his injuries are not yet known, nor is it known whether he was taken the hospital for precautionary measures. The two-car accident occurred in Uptown Charlotte near Bank of America Stadium. According to reports, the other driver involved in the accident ran a red light and struck Newton's truck, causing it to flip several times. The Panthers have not yet released an official statement.
