I think you're right, it's not like they're in a rebuilding year and need to blow the team up,. Everyone's just getting out while the getting's good,.

Always the consummate professional, Peyton will delay announcing his retirement until after the SuperBowl so as not to distract from the event ... bet.

You heard it here first, ;).

Manning could be a good Coach, or there are rumors that he may get in the Pizza business with his best buddy Papa. Would love to see less of him on TV commercials.

Another great theory, :) ... there is life after football.

I think the perception is Fox had enough talent for two teams to make it to the SuperBowl. He made it there once and got stomped. Elway has become a General Manager to envy, he hauls in talent.

Gotta think that the drubbing they took to Seattle in the SuperBowl last year, especially the way they lost, had something to do with it. Say what you want but that was a total embarrassment.

John Fox has been to 2 super bowls & lost both. We should be grateful we got at least 1 world championship.

I kinda think the opposite of a lot of people on this one. I think that it was decided long ago behind closed doors that one or the other had to go, and if Fox leaves, that means Payton plays another year. The fact that Peyton couldn't or wouldn't answer the question at the podium, means to me that he probably knew that things were about to go down behind the scenes, he knew something was up, and he simply didn't know if Fox was staying or not, or if he was the one that was out. His cryptic answers in that press conference make perfect sense, IF you take the position that he already knew certain stuff was about to go down behind the scenes, but hadn't been announced or finalized yet.

Never been impressed with Fox.
He lucked into two great QB's in Delhomme and Manning. While in Carolina he had Delhomme on the bench and started Rodney Pete. After getting their brains beat in for a half he put in Delhomme who pulled out the victory. The rest we know. On to Denver where he played musical QB's with Orton and Tebow. Enter Manning, how much coaching do you think he really did?

That's the thing! Peyton got hurt and Caldwell in Indy was EXPOSED as an empty track suit on the sidelines, without Peyton out there he looked completely lost....
