Doesn't matter to me if that is the ultimate reason. Still nice to give it to the rookie instead of just selling it.

You know, I thought about that but when I look at the difference between my son's '05 Colorado & the new ones, it's night & day. They really did up their game on that line ... it's still no full size, you're right, but GM has to cut corners somewhere with all the ignition recalls & all,.

Is he? I've never seen him in a Chrysler ad ... little conflict of interest there, ... the problems of all-star athletes,.

I'm just going to take it at face value. It was a classy thing to do to show the rookie he was appreciated for pulling Toms ass out of the frying pan.

He pitches the Dodge Dart.

Selling it? Why would Tom Brady even bother to take ownership of a ~$35K truck (if not less, the MSRP for starts at $20K) then sell it?

And it's not like Brady is going to drive a mid priced truck. Dude drives a RR Ghost.

Tossing the keys of a cheap truck that a) didn't even belong to him and b) Brady would not be caught dead driving to the rookie that just made the big play was more of a convenience to Tom Brady.

Oh, ... don't mean to laugh, but it's not the kind of car I envision a 4x SuperBowl QB endorsing (maybe the Viper) and my Mom used to drive a '63 Dart that got passed around to me & my brothers until we junked it ... we also had a driveway full of '70 - '73 Darts at one time trying to get parts enough for one that we could actually drive, ... they sure were junky cars but I learned a lot working on 'em.

Definitely a bigger deal for Butler to get a truck out of the deal. Glad Brady did it, no matter the reasons.

Oh, I laugh too... he's in like half a sec in the commercials, not even near the car, and I am sure Dodge pays him a lot of money for those half seconds.

LOL. Reminds me of the time when a friend's bar band got a tour sponsorship from Miller beer. They had a Miller High Life sign behind them and they were supposed to only be seen drinking Miller Beer onstage. So they got the Miller beverage person to give them huge packages of Miller logo cups. They would go out on tour and bring Heinecken and Abita along with them, but drink it out of Miller logo cups. The roadie would fill them up and hand them to them on the side of the stage, so no one saw what was in them.
