Sharper's Las Vegas attorney, David Chesnoff, appeared Friday before a Las Vegas judge on two sexual assault charges accusing him of having sex with two tourists in January 2014 while the women were incapable of resisting.

The allegations are that Sharper went club-hopping with the women and took them to his room at a Strip hotel, where he drugged and sexually assaulted them while they were unconscious, said Officer Larry Hadfield, a Las Vegas police spokesman.

The account is similar to allegations made against Sharper in California, Louisiana and Arizona.

Chesnoff declined to comment on the two Nevada charges, which each carry a possible sentence of 10 years to life in Nevada state prison.

Sharper, 39, is sought on a warrant in Las Vegas. But he has been jailed since Feb. 27 in Los Angeles, where he was due for a preliminary hearing Friday after pleading not guilty to drugging and raping two women in 2013.

The New Orleans charges allege that he sexually assaulted three women in 2013. The Arizona charges allege that he drugged three women and sexually assaulted two of them in November 2013 in the Phoenix suburb of Tempe.

Sharper had a 14-year All-Pro career as a defensive safety with the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints. He played in one Super Bowl with the Packers and was part of a championship season with the New Orleans Saints.

He retired after the 2010 season and was working as an analyst for the NFL Network before being fired when the rape allegations surfaced

Innocent until proven guilty. If I'm on the jury I would have to see concrete evidence. I would not put him away without it. I know of cases where women have claimed rape only to find out later it was all a lie, either to get back at someone or for monetary gain. One case, the guy was kicked out of the military, destroyed his life. It all came out in the end though, she admitted it was a lie to get back at him because he dumped her. She wanted to see him suffer. The military kicked him out before he was convicted. Big effin mess for them.

What is hurting him is that there are so many women. At some point you have to accept where there is a lot of smoke there is fire. Once it gets to 3,4,5 there is a pattern that is difficult to ignore. He's also a high profile person who liked to club. There are many women that seek out guys just like him for reasons other than hooking up .

For sure. You have to think this is some sort of weird clinical condition though, similar to what they were claiming about Cosby. I mean I've never made out with an unconscious woman before, but you'd have to think it'd be less interesting than when they're awake.

Add that to the fact that with his money and notoriety he surely could land some willing, conscious women, and you have to conclude this is a strange obsession of some sort.

Agree, if it was 1-2 there is a window that is open that it's b.s. but when you start getting to around 4 fingers something is not right. It's certainly possible it could all be something else but not very likely.

I didn't want to believe it, but so many accusations in so may places, and now he just struck a deal.

The one thing that bothers me about this:
So you go with an NFL player (or any man for that matter) club-hopping in Las Vegas, then you go to his hotel room. Why do you go to a man's hotel room? A man who you just met? Club hopping in Las Vegas?

Any woman who does not know why she goes to the hotel room of a man she just met club hopping in Las Vegas, unless she's retarded, knows exactly why she's going there. She ain't going to watch TV or swap quiche recipes...

I have a suspicion the new plea will be nolo contendere, after some "undisclosed financial arrangements" have been made.

Don't think I agree with this. Granted, she must have known there was potential for some hanky-panky, but that doesn't make it OK to drug and rape her.

As a matter of fact, I think this is even worse than a straight-up rape while being conscious. At least if she were conscious she's have a chance to fight-off the attack.

Now that the ball is rolling I wouldn't be surprised to see even more accusations. If by some stretch of the imagination Sharper is innocent, it would show a massive amount of poor judgement on his part. I can't say I buy it anymore
