Winston to Bucs?
Lovie Smith makes it clear Bucs are good with Jameis Winston | ProFootballTalk
A colossal bust in the making? |
Re: Winston to Bucs?
JaMarcus Winston.
|
Re: Winston to Bucs?
talent wise, not by a logn shot, he's the best qb in the draft, but attitude wise, certainly could be a bust

Keenan Lewis, Brandon Browner, Jairus Byrd... That's not exactly Syracuse's secondary. Good luck kid.
|
Re: Winston to Bucs?
I wish he were a stock. I'd short sell it and throw everything I could at it.
|
Re: Winston to Bucs?
You mean the guy that runs around, falls over and fumbles?
Jameis Sanchez |
Re: Winston to Bucs?
It just ensures Tampa's run at 1st round draft pick busts. Go for it.
|
Re: Winston to Bucs?
The Bucs GM is Jason Licht who is 44 years old and pretty much a Scout for 6 different NFL teams. Could be 7 teams if this becomes a bust.
|
Re: Winston to Bucs?
IDK, has the talent but doesn't appear to have the maturity level to handle the huge contract or attention level he'll be getting, #shrug. If he does, keep an eye on the rearview mirror for the Bucs,.

Re: Winston to Bucs?
BUST!!!!
|
Re: Winston to Bucs?
Didn't Winston end up with what 17 or 18 INT's last season at FSU?
If he thought guys were open in college, wait until he thinks they are open at the NFL level. |
Re: Winston to Bucs?
I'm predicting it right now....when the schedule comes out, the Saints will open their schedule on the road against the Bucs in Tampa, giving Winston & Tampa their cushiest and best shot to beat us (early season, with no film, at home, etc.). Watch for ways in which the NFL schedule is manipulated to give Tampa and Lovie and Winston an easier time of things, all year long, with opponents coming off of short weeks, having byes and long weeks for the Bucs before important division games, setting up trap games for their opponents, putting tough road games in easy parts of the schedule, just watch..... for years they've tried to manipulate the Falcons/Saints rivalry to give Atlanta the better chance against New Orleans, now it will be Tampa's turn to benefit from the league's favorable scheduling "love"... Just watch.

Re: Winston to Bucs?
He's the best QB in the draft. Scouts were saying they hadn't come across anybody with a football IQ like his at QB since Peyton Manning. He actually stands in the pocket to deliver the ball even when pressure is in his face. He's a big guy. His situation in Tampa will be better then JaMarcus had in Oakland. He's also far more focused then Russell was. Jameis Winston is Cam Newton without the speed but with passing accuracy instead. If you ask me, Cam has been doing just fine.

Re: Winston to Bucs?
Jameis Winston = Josh Freeman 2.0

Re: Winston to Bucs?
Looks kinda scary at first but then it just plays dead when completely stressed out.

Re: Winston to Bucs?
From what I read, the Bucs ownership has not confirmed he's their guy like Lovie is doing. I could see this not happening now with these new allegations. Not good for us. If he falls, he falls far and we have one less option to consider. Who would draft a #1 pick with unresolved serious allegations. It would be a huge gamble plus he will likely miss training and possible games. No way. They can deny it having no effect on their decision all they want. If it doesn't they have some serious leadership problems at the top.

Ryan ( Leaf ) Winston

It's a civil suit. He can either pay the 15K she wants or, contest it and have to prove his innocence in court. He likely settles out of court but doing so, in a sense, is an admission of guilt. Some will argue it's not worth his time to contest it which is true, but it's not about money. It's about the principle of defending your character. If someone is not willing to defend themselves on principle then exactly what are they going to stand up for in life? Are they going to be the leader in life? Maybe, but would they be respected. Highly unlikely.

Re: Winston to Bucs?
Unless they own the store there is no "hook up". They are stealing and he knowingly took the stolen goods which is also stealing. This must have been the question he got wrong on the Wonderlick test.
|
Re: Winston to Bucs?
Yea, Peter Warrick proved that the "hook up" defense doesn't fly.

Re: Winston to Bucs?
if ture that's 2 wins a year for the Saints

I think he will at worst be a Andy Dalton level QB

Re: Winston to Bucs?
I find it very hard to believe the Bus ownership is going to sign off on it. Sucks for us if he drops but I do believe that is what will happen. He is not a leader and they desperately need one right now. I could see him dropping to round 2 to be honest.

not for lack of talent, if he busts it will be all attitude related. Like Young

Off the field? Hell no. In todays NFL off the field leadership is just as important as poise and leadership on the field. When he becomes a pro, I think his off the field antics will effect his leadership abilities on the field. He's a dumb ass punk. We rarely see dumb ass punks succeed at QB. |
