The 32 NFL teams that did not draft him cannot be found culpable ... what did they do other than avoid him for possible future legal issues? The police for investigating him and/or naming him a person-of-interest in his baby-mama's murder? IDK if there would be a case there either ... they're just doing their job as part of a murder investigation. It's kinda' an odd situation and maybe the NFL is erring on the side of caution, but in today's NFL climate, they sorta' have to, IMO. Just one of those situations the guy is gonna' have live through ... at least there's some light at the end of the tunnel in that there will still be some lucrative NFL contracts and an NFL career available to him when it's all cleared up. But yeah, I agree, ![]() ![]() |

Re: La'el Collins, What Do We Know?!?
He will not have a case
Teams were free to select him and they didn't. Also the agents,We will not sign a contract if its not in the first four rounds has killed any lawsuit. He wasn't legible for next years draft and had he been allowed to enter the supplemental draft every player after him with a legal issue pre draft would have appealed any conviction and asked to be moved to the supplment draft to manipulate were they go |

Re: La'el Collins, What Do We Know?!?
Only recourse for La'el Collins that I could see so far would be to prove collusion, and that would be impossible to prove without communications (i.e. emails) or multiple witnesses...
The other would be to somehow find evidence that either someone from the league office or an agent(s) from one or more of the 32 NFL franchises conspired with the police and press to release the damaging press release of his person of interest connection to the murder of the young mother and infant. The silver lining for him is that he will be a free agent faster than most; and with that talent he could get a max contract earlier in his career... But it's hard to label him a victim when a young mother and her child are dead. |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
