I truly think he is guilty; if you know you innocent why not talk to the police before or during the draft.... this is a Rae Carruth situation all over. If I am wrong an he is innocent he need to fire whomever given him advice to wait after the draft; chances are he wouldve been drafted second day if he made efforts to talk to the police

You think he is guilty of what?

To assume guilt because he may not want to be questioned is such a foolish argument. If he could even be made out as a suspect he should keep his mouth shut, false and coerced confessions are a very real thing.

No one knows what will come of this situation, but I will bet the house some teams have already sent him contracts contingent on the investigation having a positive outcome.

If it were me, and I was innocent, I would make a statement, regardless of the draft. Look, I had nothing to do with her death and her unborn child. The last time I spoke with her was _______ and the child is not (or is mine). I want whoever did this brought to justice and will cooperate in anyway that helps to achieve that result.

He didn't do any of this, only saying he has an alibi from what I have read. Guess what? Not being around the crime scene is not saying you had nothing to do with it.

Maybe. But I've learned a little bit about our legal system through my extremely unpleasant divorce - and perhaps the most important thing I've learned through it all is the value of "Radio Silence".

Anything you say can AND WILL be used against you. Lawyers suck. They're trained to spin. Guilty or otherwise (and I sure hope otherwise regardless of where he lands), he's best to go radio silent, and his lawyer is wise for seeing to it.

From what i read they tried talking to the police during the draft but were told to wait till monday.

If Collins is found clear of any wrong doing, can his attorney sue the hell out of the BRPD? Any B&G attorneys out there who can chime in?

I just don't know what to think about this matter anymore.

I don't see how
The PD said he was not a suspect but they wanted to question him about the woman. They are doing there job and have not slandered him.

His agent acted like a idiot shouting about not taking him out the draft and then that he wouldnt sign a contract after the 3-4 round and would re-enter the draft next year. He killed any hope of his client being drafted and imho he did it on purpose knowing that as a UDFA he would be a RFA in three years and making more money than a 5th round pick
