A team will sign him before he's cleared because of his potential as lineman.

If it's discovered he participated in any wrongdoing, they'll void the contract which I'm sure will have language to address such a situation.

Unless a team doesn't want a distraction, he'll be signed by the end of the day...

It would not surprise me at all if the league owners had spoke to each other about taking a step back from this sort of thing at a meeting. Remember that the owners are really just the shareholders of a multi billion dollar franchise and a black mark on one effects all of them down the line.

If Collins or his agent tried pushing a big case against the league they will get black listed and kiss good bye to more money. Collins doesn't have the backing of the NFLPA as he cant be a member without first being a player

So he speaks to police Monday. May or may not be cleared.

Let's say he's innocent. What would it take to get him in black & gold?

One hell of a recruiting pitch as all 32 NFL teams can pretty much offer him the same amount of money. Luckily for us, we're right down the street from him. Roll out the red carpet, take him and his family out to dinner, invite Coach Miles, and just make him feel that this is the right place for him to be.

I would love for that to happen. I just hope he doesn't get that 'I gotta get the hell outta here' feeling when he chooses his team.

Man I would sign him to a UDFA contract in a heartbeat Getting Collins would set our OL for the next four yrs.
