Don't be fooled. That team will still be competitive.

They were the deepest team in the entire NFL and several of the players they lost were already in decline.

They won't be the powerhouse they previously were, but they won't suddenly become a 4-12 team with the depth they have.

Competitive? Possibly but it's mind boggling to see the talent they have lost this off season ... names like Gore, Crabtree, Iupati, Borland, Justin Smith, Willis and now Anthony Davis (who I thought was a rising star). If I'm not mistaken they have loss a total of 13 players AND a coach thus far.

Even with the decline of a lot of their players, it will be a challenge for them to win 8 or more games in their respective conference.

49ers are probably re gearing themselves for a long rebuild.

Not necessarily...Harbaugh made that team what it was. That team had talent before he got there and they were garbage.
