If it can mimic the sound and expose players to the shock of having limited control, dealing with the clock, yes. As for the plays no. There is no way to re-create all those nuances...wind, temp, playing through injuries.
I've done this style of training in the military. It works for calming you down and exposing you to the speed and sounds but as for real world, no way. It leaves out way too many variables. A virtual wet ball, muddy field, lights in the stadium going out...I could list dozens of real events it can't create and those are the ones that decide game. |
