Sproles, Jenkins

:REGRET:

They both looked good tonight against the Falcons.

Yes, they sure did.

Two more reasons to let Loomis go.

I understood Sproles, but sure hate the Jenkins decision.

Yea, very upset about Jenkins. Still have his jersey in my closet. I assume eagles paid him considerably less then we paid Byrd. Could have used that money elsewhere.

Any concrete figures on their salary differences would be much appreciated!

I have two of his jerseys! And, at one point, I offered one of them up on this board...No one would bite. I was such a fan of his, two different people got me his jersey for Christmas. As I recall, Jenkins drew a LOT of hate from this board. He was a value to us, if not only for his character and leadership. To see people like jenkins, and Patrick Robinson thrive in other systems, that makes me question our coaching skills a lot more than it does the decision to part ways with them over salary cap or money issues.

Yea, as soon as he came out of college, I was begging to switch him from CB to Safety. As soon as they did, his level of play continued to rise. I think he took initial criticism because for a while, we had him playing a position in our system that didn't fit his strengths.

Exactly right his veteran leadership was a major value. It was like having a Field General back there with the younger players. Jenkins, Sproles and Jimmy still leave doubts in my mind. But as they say we gotta move forward.

I never liked the Jenkins decision. Sproles looked great, Hell they both looked great.

I can't believe all the slobbering I'm reading about Jenkins. I don't miss seeing him get torched. Everyone looks better on another team, because you see the good, and don't care about the bad. It's the same reason we get over-excited for certain players that come here. We think we know them, and then we get burned. The Eagles can keep him.

Re: Sproles, Jenkins

I was happy to see Jenkins go and wouldn't change it even if I could.

He was slow, whiffed on tackles, took awful angles and had bricks for hands - kind of what we had with Bush recently.

He was given plenty of opportunities to succeed with the Saints, but didn't...

I think letting Harper go had a much bigger leadership effect on the team than Jenkins' departure. And Harper at his best was better than Jenkins at his best, IMO.

Yep ... a lot of fans are still trying to re live the past. I stopped looking in the rear view mirror long ago.

And the legend of Sproles continues to grow.

Let ... it ... go.

Don't worry we will see him in week 5.
Shut him down and all the talk is done.
