Yea, very upset about Jenkins. Still have his jersey in my closet. I assume eagles paid him considerably less then we paid Byrd. Could have used that money elsewhere.
Any concrete figures on their salary differences would be much appreciated! |

I have two of his jerseys! And, at one point, I offered one of them up on this board...No one would bite. I was such a fan of his, two different people got me his jersey for Christmas. As I recall, Jenkins drew a LOT of hate from this board. He was a value to us, if not only for his character and leadership. To see people like jenkins, and Patrick Robinson thrive in other systems, that makes me question our coaching skills a lot more than it does the decision to part ways with them over salary cap or money issues.

Yea, as soon as he came out of college, I was begging to switch him from CB to Safety. As soon as they did, his level of play continued to rise. I think he took initial criticism because for a while, we had him playing a position in our system that didn't fit his strengths.

Exactly right his veteran leadership was a major value. It was like having a Field General back there with the younger players. Jenkins, Sproles and Jimmy still leave doubts in my mind. But as they say we gotta move forward.
