Atlanta has helped us even more
By losing to SF they have games against Indy, Minnesota, at TB, at Carolina, Carolina, and us. They lose to Indy and Carolina they just need to lose to us the last game. That would mean at 10-6 we can still get in.
Rams lost to vikings and rams still have to go to Cincinatti and Seattle. On top of that, they have a rematch against Arizona at home, and even Baltimore could be trouble for them. It is not over. |
Re: Atlanta has helped us even more
I find this topic comical.
We're losing to bad teams such as the Bucs, Titans etc and giving up 400 + yards to rookie QB's in the process. Saints aren't good enough to be looking ahead. Just win a game without giving up 500 total yards on D. Playoffs? Funny. |
Re: Atlanta has helped us even more
I am not giving up, unlike you.
I never said we would be good going into the playoffs but the schedule has made it entirely possible we back in. |

If ever this team was going to learn to take the bad teams seriously and act like it matters when you have a golden opportunity, this would have been the game, and the season to do that. But as I said, they learned nothing. |
Re: Atlanta has helped us even more
No one is throwing up the white flag however this defense is going no where fast... especially under the tutelage of Rob Ryan.
You can't expect to win every week with 34-31 shoot outs at this level. Even against the bad teams (Titans). Realistic expectations. |
Re: Atlanta has helped us even more
Look if I didn't have numbers to back my reasons up I would be more pessimistic. But I have numbers to believe we will go 6-5 after week 12.

Re: Atlanta has helped us even more
So what you are saying is that we could win the Superbowl if we play Atlanta in San Francisco?

Re: Atlanta has helped us even more
No. We could get a wc over them is what I'm referring.

Re: Atlanta has helped us even more
Even if we back in our chances of continuing are a long shot. Honestly our goals will most likely be sweeping Atlanta and ruining Carolina's undefeated season Dec. 6th. Unless someone beats us to it.

I predicted an Atlanta free fall weeks ago when they were squeaking by bad teams. But we have to jump over more teams than just Atlanta. |

Never give up. Was it over when the Germans bomb Pearl Harbour? NO!!!!

Re: Atlanta has helped us even more
Had we won yesterday & gone over .500 I would be more excited than waiting for the Falcons to drop back to us. Being 2nd in the division would not make us a playoff team. Waiting for other teams to screw up in order to make the playoffs is not what we should be looking at. Sure some help is appreciated however loosing to the Titans tells me we are at .500 team only.

Re: Atlanta has helped us even more
And we will get that help. Seattle and St.Louis have to play each other again and also Arizona, who is going to be contending for the top seed. St.Louis also isn't good enough in the passing game to win in Baltimore, and definitely will not win in Cincinatti. Seattle also probably does not go through Minnesota and Baltimore both. St.Louis loses to Baltimore, Cincinatti, Arizona, and Seattle to go 8-8 and perhaps 7-9 losing to SF is season's over. Minnesota is losing to Oakland(because it's in Oakland), Seattle, Arizona, and Green Bay, and I will not be surprised if they lose to giants, who have a track record on the road against defensive teams. They may lose to GB twice if TB is out that game. And Atlanta is probably going to beat them. So I say 9-7 there. The eagles will win the division if they go 10-6 and we have the head to head and conference record edge over giants. All we need is to win out or sweep Atlanta. We'll see what happens this week.
