Atlanta has helped us even more

By losing to SF they have games against Indy, Minnesota, at TB, at Carolina, Carolina, and us. They lose to Indy and Carolina they just need to lose to us the last game. That would mean at 10-6 we can still get in.

Rams lost to vikings and rams still have to go to Cincinatti and Seattle. On top of that, they have a rematch against Arizona at home, and even Baltimore could be trouble for them.

It is not over.

Re: Atlanta has helped us even more

I find this topic comical.

We're losing to bad teams such as the Bucs, Titans etc and giving up 400 + yards to rookie QB's in the process. Saints aren't good enough to be looking ahead. Just win a game without giving up 500 total yards on D.

Playoffs? Funny.

I am not giving up, unlike you.

I never said we would be good going into the playoffs but the schedule has made it entirely possible we back in.

The schedule had made it entirely possible as we looked ahead a week ago. But after today, we can see this team has learned nothing. They dug themselves a huge hole, then managed to pull it together and had the easiest schedule in the history of mankind in front of them.

If ever this team was going to learn to take the bad teams seriously and act like it matters when you have a golden opportunity, this would have been the game, and the season to do that.

But as I said, they learned nothing.

Re: Atlanta has helped us even more

No one is throwing up the white flag however this defense is going no where fast... especially under the tutelage of Rob Ryan.

You can't expect to win every week with 34-31 shoot outs at this level. Even against the bad teams (Titans).

Realistic expectations.

Look if I didn't have numbers to back my reasons up I would be more pessimistic. But I have numbers to believe we will go 6-5 after week 12.

Re: Atlanta has helped us even more

So what you are saying is that we could win the Superbowl if we play Atlanta in San Francisco?

No. We could get a wc over them is what I'm referring.

Even if we back in our chances of continuing are a long shot. Honestly our goals will most likely be sweeping Atlanta and ruining Carolina's undefeated season Dec. 6th. Unless someone beats us to it.

No one's stopping you from being optimistic. The numbers you're referring to are known as games. We all know about the schedule. The schedule suggested that we should have been 7-4 after week 12, but that won't happen now. So it doesn't matter. Going by who will be favored in games, we should finish no worse than 11-5 even after this loss. Do I have any faith that such will happen? Nope. I'll hope for it, but I can't see it happening.

I predicted an Atlanta free fall weeks ago when they were squeaking by bad teams. But we have to jump over more teams than just Atlanta.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.
