I thought so, but the cynical Detroit media's been pointing out that assistant coaches/managers that have left NE haven't fared well ... Romeo Crennel was the only example I can remember, but there was a list of them. It all but guarantees Caldwell stays ... the guy advising the Ford's typically will not recommend firing a H/C when you have an inexperienced GM, or so I've heard. Good thing Detroit plays the NFC East and the AFC South next year,
