Geno Smith.

Re: Geno Smith.
If Mark Sanchez and Brandon Weeden still have jobs in the NFL then Geno Smith deserves a chance to develop.

Re: Geno Smith.
Probably not going to happen in NY, the folks up there eat QB's alive.

It's a business, not a charity, and in the NFL you're not in the business of losing games, #shrug. He deserves whatever chance he can give himself by playing well, IMO, and it's on him, not on an organization to give him a chance, #shrug ... this ain't AYSO soccer, just sayin'. Hopefully he can identify whatever it is a coaching staff sees that keeps him off the field & correct it. Or, focus on being a back-up, #shrug. Plenty of guys in the NFL have made that a successful gig, #shrug. Charlie Batch (Eastern Michigan University/Detroit Lions) was actually one of my favorite QB's who never quite made it as a starter but had great success holding a clipboard, :). It's OK to think like that when a player's in amateur status (Denard Robinson & Devon Gardener at UofM are good examples of how you ruin a program by giving someone who may not necessarily deserve it, "a chance"), but once you're in the pro's, you get the job done or you go home, it's that way all over, #shrug. |
Re: Geno Smith.
I'll use the word "deserve" lightly.

Re: Geno Smith.
I expected him to do poorly in the NFL and though that the Jets were crazy for drafting him. I have not seen anything to change my opinion yet.

Re: Geno Smith.
The Jes will let him go, but who will give him another shot? DALLAS.

When you throw that many interceptions, you're not helping the team any. Unfortunately, QB is a high-profile position where a team can't hide/bury your weaknesses, #numbersdon'tlie. I guess you could argue that his completion percentage went up and his turnovers went down from 2013 - 2014, but come on, those are mediocre-crappy numbers any way you look at it,. Upon further review, Geno should consider himself lucky to still be in the league, IMO, #shrug. |
Re: Geno Smith.
You can't be a box of rocks to play QB in the NFL at the highest level. Maybe Geno is among those, Sanchez included, whose mental capacity can't keep up to be an upper tier QB.
