Competition Committee moves toward new ejection rule
Later today, the Competition Committee will announce via media conference call its agenda of proposed rules and bylaws changes for next week’s league meetings. As expected, the Competition Committee will be proposed a rule mandating ejections in the wake of two personal fouls.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Committee is expected to recommend that an ejection will happen after a player commits two personal fouls in the same game. The challenge becomes selecting the fouls that will fall under the two-strikes-and-you’re-out umbrella.
