Panthers propose a revised definition of intentional grounding
The protections include preventing certain hits on quarterbacks and permitting certain behaviors aimed at allowing quarterbacks to avoid otherwise legal hits. The Panthers propose limiting the latter.
Specifically, Carolina has proposed a rule change aimed at expanding the definition of intentional grounding, on the basis that the current rule doesn’t adequately prevent fouls. Panthers propose a revised definition of intentional grounding | ProFootballTalk |

Re: Panthers propose a revised definition of intentional grounding
Let me guess… a strip sack in which the QB doesn’t attempt to dive on the ball is now a legal grounding of the ball or an incomplete pass?

Re: Panthers propose a revised definition of intentional grounding
Heres my rule proposal.
If a running QB begins to run, he may be tackled as hard as any other player on the field. If a QB showboats or flops as badly as Cam Newton, his helmet shall be removed and his face pummeled until said player is unconscious. |

Ok Danno, Ok.
Book'em Danno!!!! Oh boy. How about the QB just stays in bubblewrap and no one touches the QB. It is becoming that the QB is just off limits or basically what CaroPanths want because they do not want CammyBabyFiggyNewton touched. They think if he is not touched, then SB 2017 is theirs. |
