I respectfully disagree that they have better players than what we have when healthy. That defense in Philly has been bad going back a number of years. I'm sure they had some injuries last year (every team does) but it wasn't enough to be as bad as they were, in my opinion.

And I am not basing my opinion on Allen by this year alone. The guy has never proven to be a difference maker at any point in his career. He once had a so-so defense in Denver, but has not shown to be an innovator, schematically. I think the Saints can do way better.

Schwartz, as much as I don't like him, has been in numerous places and always had top defenses. He's not a good head coach, but he can coach defense. He was on the market... We stuck with Allen. I know the injuries hurt, but for the long term future this team needs a true D-coordinator, and a guy who is better as a position coach. Just my thoughts.
