It’s been a bit of a roller-coaster season for Saints defensive tackle Nick Fairley, and after some sub-average performances in Weeks 13-14, he really bounced back nicely in Week 15. Fairley led the Saints’ defense with four total pressures—including one hit—on 33 pass rush attempts, and he also chipped in a stop (a stop is a solo tackle which constitutes as a loss for the offense, given the situation). Cameron Jordan chipped in three more pressures—including a sack—and David Onyemata contributed two pressures on just 11 pass-rushing snaps. Ken Crawley allowed two of three passes targeted towards his man to be caught, but in an offensive shootout, he limited the production on those two catches to just 18 total yards.

That was the knock on him in Detroit, nothing consistant. I like Fairly and got to watch alot of Detroits games living up here. If he ever keeps it up on a consistant level he would be a monster.

Halloween,

Hopefully the Saints re sign Fairley, add a couple of FA's (preferably LB, CB & DE) & we are closer than many may think on defense. Just add key pieces (see Giants).

I don't know K Major. I do agree to resign Fairley but looking at the D overall its not all that good and with Allen at DC I don't think he will improve from what we are now. He blitzes alot because we can't get pressure up front and I surely don't trust his playcalling. I thought him and Payton were going to butt heads last night until we got the turnover. So far his luck has been much more than his skill. It's going to take in my opionion 5 more key pieces to become a legit D. I want put trust in the D until I see a consistantly good unit take the field. We're limited with picks and think Paytons going heavy O on the draft.
