I'm surprised he didn't join all the other ex-Cowboys on FOX Sports. It must be a sign that Tony has class.

Re: Tony Romo heading into broadcasting with CBS

The CBS offer was too good to pass up? I have a hard time believing they offered him more money per year than he would have gotten to go play for another team. If he doesn't want to play football anymore, he could just say that. He can go into broadcasting any time. If you still want to play football, don't tell me CBS had a better offer.

I'm also a little perplexed as to why he immediately becomes the lead analyst. Why does CBS believe he's any good at it? This whole thing is just weird, to me.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

I am not surprised about him retiring now or being picked up as a commentator.
