Slightly off topic but I am going to post this here instead of starting a new thread.
I don't consider Brady the GOAT because he has played in arguably the worst division in football; New England to me is the same as the 40-whiners were in the 80s/90s. The whiners benefitted from playing in a weak division during their golden age as well, although after Mora joined the Saints they made it somewhat harder but SF still pretty much knew they were going to win the division each year; their only real test was when they had to play the NFC East. I will go so far as to say that if Brady and the Patriots had to play in the NFC South, especially during the Payton/Brees era that I don't believe Brady would have a single Super Bowl ring. |
