I hate the rule. I understand the interpretation of the rule, making a football move, maintaining possession all the way through etc but damn this is something the officiating committee needs to revisit this off season.

Not everyone would consider it a catch, by putting the criteria in place, the refs now have benchmarks, checkmarks to guide them in the ruling... Besides, F*ck Pittsburgh!!! They've gotten calls for years, all the way back to the non-catch Immaculate Reception that hit the ground then bounced into Franco's hands... And don't get me started on the biased officiating that screwed the Cardinals out of a SuperBowl... |
