From what I hear the conversation with Dez went:
GM: What does your father do for a living?
Dez: He's a pimp
GM: What does your mother do?
Dez: Work for my father.
GM: Is your mother a prostitute?

Logical question given the conversation. There's nothing unusual about asking an NFL recruit "What does your father do?" but Dez's answer was certainly unusual.

Or maybe some people on the team already, really don't or want feel comfortable around gay people, so the question was ask to keep the lockeroom from turmoil. This being told what to think, say, act like, and accept is sickening.

This is a good example of context. Just goes to show it never helps to draw a conclusion about something before understanding the entire story.
