Jeff Fisher never responded to Vince Young’s misspelled letter
Vince Young said last year that he wrote former coach Jeff Fisher a letter apologizing for his role in their strained relationship.
But Fisher never bothered responding to it, because he wasn’t sure Young himself wrote it. The former Titans coach told PaulKuharsky.com that he suspected the letter came from someone at the University of Texas, where Young was working. “Yes, I got a letter from Vince,” Fisher said. “And I didn’t respond. My name was spelled wrong on the letter, the letter came from the University of Texas, and I had no way of knowing if it was (really) from him. It came from the athletic department. But my name was spelled incorrectly. “I still have it. But I didn’t know if it was from him so I felt no need to respond. . . . I thought if it was from him he would have maybe spelled my name right.” read more on PFT | |

I still don't understand how the NFL let him hang around.
So Goodell should have stepped in and removed him from the NFL? I can hear the screams now!!! Can't have it both ways!! |

Really the coach should had let bygones be bygones. Hope that Vince is maturing. As well as hope he can overcome his mental problems. Think he was bipolar disorder.

I really don't understand this hatred for Fisher. Is it his fault the GMs never invested in drafting enough offense or signing offensive players? They decided to start doing when he got fired. Fisher didn't make the FO decisions.

Don't know if you saw this but when Fisher was coaching the Titans he had a T shirt on and during the course of an interview ripped off the T shirt to reveal a #18 Peyton Manning jersey. He then made some comment on who he thought the best QB in the league is!
The Colts and Titans are both in the AFC South Imagine if Riverboat Ron did the same and revealed a #9 Brees Jersey!! |
