What???, America's team (cough, sic, cough) is told they have to allow players to dis the National Anthem while on the employer's time? The owner is told to shut up about the anthem. Goodell is a liberal in charge of an historically patriotic league and hasn't figured out that football is a uniquely AMERICAN sport. Might be a great bean counter TV contract guy, but a lousy representative to it's clientele. What other business CEO could show up at COMPANY EVENTS and be BOOED and still have a job? Wake up NFL. Time to finally move on.

Goodell has very little to do about telling Jones to shut up. That is the other owners.

I guarantee you the other owners want the players to shut up and stand. They just don't have the guts to do anything about it. So I don't buy that they are the one's telling Jerry to be quiet. That's coming straight from the league office. They're the one's that want to play politics, while the owners just want to make money, and don't seem to know what to do when something BECOMES politicized.
