I get the "new rule" but this is taking it too far. That shot AJ Klein put on Matty late in the ball game ... I was just waiting for the refs to pull out the flag.

Me thinks the league wants to get away from defenders sacking the QB.

It's ridiculous. They were already doing plenty to protect QB's 10 years ago. They're gone way too far.

A greater portion of it is from a commissioner that has to protect the financial interests of the owners. He is the impatience behind the deodorization of the game.

The commissioner gets the blame but the man is doing what he is told by his bosses on the whole and they want the QBs protected

Now we see a top level DE getting huty because of the way he was forced to sack a QB, nobody cares though cause its not a hurt QB
Its a tough sport, do what you can to protect the concussion issue and then let them play. Nothing wrong with either Mathews sack and its cost the Packers wins

I even feel bad for the refs. It's pretty sad what they are told to throw a flag for these days.

NFL Owners are a shrewd bunch. They HIRE the commissioner to be the FACE of the NFL. He's paid by them, works for them and does their bidding. He also absorbs all the blame for the policy the owners dictate.

They fade quietly into the shadows with their "Who? Me?" faces firmly affixed while letting the Commissioner take their heat. Like I said SHREWD!!

Television fans around the nation saw a frightening sight Sunday when quarterback Tommy Kramer of the Minnesota Vikings suffered a concussion and went into a convulsion during a game against the Los Angeles Rams.

While being tackled by Jim Youngblood as he attempted to pass, Kramer was knocked unconscious. As he lay on the ground, his arms went rigid and his hands became halfclenched as he went into a spasm.
