I'd have to agree. You can only provoke violence so much before you get what you asked for. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. With the current climate you have to wonder if he'll get a fair chance, even if he can prove that he didn't start it.

He didn't get released for hitting anyone. He got released because he lied to them.

He should have told the truth and the whole story. I think there is a lot more here than the video though to include him being assaulted first and them still provoking him but we just don't know but I would never judge anyone on a video. There is a precursor to the event nobody knows.

I think he’ll get a second chance if his story holds up. After a lengthy suspension though. I’ll take him in the city.

I wouldn't be surprised if he got another chance. Hunt is a young guy who has a lot of good years left, someone will give him a chance.

People who aren't stupid do not allow themselves to be baited into assault. I doubt she hurled the N word, that's straight out of every single black person's playbook to avoid consequences. He should have remained in the room with the door locked and called the front desk and police. That's how adults handle situations that aren't life threatening or physically threatening. He's an idiot. He's also young and probably brought up by an excuse maker for a mother and no father.

I get called the “N” word by patients at least twice a month, so I don’t doubt his experience seeing as I actually live in the same skin as Kareem Hunt. I’m verbally assaulted and threatened by the same individuals I’m helping keep alive. I’m sure the same happens in NFL stadiums across the nation. He can’t react on the job just like I can’t. I’ve never let that slide outside of a place of employment. Not at school. Not on a basketball court. Not in the mall. I’m not interested in policing anyone’s reaction to bigotry. Our experiences shape who we are and how we react to things. Like I said, he should have sent his security out there to handle it. Oh well. It happened.

I can’t speak for Kareem Hunt on how he was raised. My father was always there though. Married to my mother since before I was born. They were high school sweethearts. He’s retired NAVY. Gulf War Veteran. He told me if somebody ever calls you that word you beat their ass and I’ll come take up for you. So maybe Hunt has a dad like mine.
