I think any father that has a daughter feels that way. I know as a father of one im prepared to go all the way and not think twice about it or worry about going to prison. He is right any man that does this not a man but a punk.

You are absolutely wrong. That is self defense. I have hit women before that struck me. Punched her in the face. I would also do it again. There is no way I would ever let a man or woman strike me without hitting back.

You also do not know anything about this tape or how it got to this point so you are judging him before hearing his side or anyone else's side of the story which to me is disgusting. It's people like you that wreck lives of innocent people like the Duke Lacrosse team. I hope you never serve jury duty.

And I saw the video. This was not self-defense. He wasn't attacked. He was never struck. It doesn't matter if he was. He kicked the girl while she was on the ground. I'm sure he was in danger considering he's 220 lbs and she might be 100. You know nothing about me, and I haven't said anything judgemental about him. I can say without a doubt you're a real POS though just based on your post.

I would punch back any adult that hit me. Done it my whole life. No charges, never went to jail. It's self defense. This would include my own parents. It is legal and it is also legal for you to have an opinion as well. I will still punch anyone that hits me though no matter what anyone's opinion is on it.

And I never said anything about the video. The video does not tell the whole story. How did it get to that point. He's innocent until proven guilty but in your world he is guilty and you call people names who disagree with you.

Really unique system you have of judging others then using profanity when people disagree with you. Maybe not though, seems to be very common these days.

The women in my family share beast and spk's sentiment. If you're gonna hit a man first, you shouldn't automatically expect no consequence simply because you're a woman. And let me tell you, there are a lot of strong women in my family, both physically and mentally. Now, there's a difference between hitting back and beating the living hell out of someone, and I agree that a man should never beat the hell out of a woman, unless it's truly a life or death self defense scenario.

My wife and I had a very rough first few years of our marriage, for a lot of reasons. There was a time when things seemed to be getting worse by the day. We were always arguing, and the arguing lead to shouting, and the shouting eventually lead to her taking swings at me. Not everytime, but if things got really heated, she would kinda blackout and **** would get crazy. I allowed her to hit me on several occasions without doing anything back other than maybe pushing her away from me or grabbing her wrists. She usually didn't hit very hard anyway, so I let it slide. But there was one time when she punched me right in the nose, and I had enough. So I swung back, with an open hand and smacked her pretty hard across the top of her head. She never hit me again after that. Now that years have passed and we've moved on from all the bad times she feels terrible about having ever hit me, and she understands and acknowledges why I finally had to hit her back.

Following the story on social media and they’re saying she was outside of his room being belligerent, hurling the “N” word around at them, and threatening the female that was with Hunt. If that holds true, Hunt won’t hear a peep of a negativity from me.

I'd have to agree. You can only provoke violence so much before you get what you asked for. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. With the current climate you have to wonder if he'll get a fair chance, even if he can prove that he didn't start it.

He didn't get released for hitting anyone. He got released because he lied to them.

He should have told the truth and the whole story. I think there is a lot more here than the video though to include him being assaulted first and them still provoking him but we just don't know but I would never judge anyone on a video. There is a precursor to the event nobody knows.

Exactly. If someone would have only seen the video of you hitting her you would be the evil in the eyes of the public and likely convicted which is disgusting.

When I was a child I had an abusive mother because she was abused as a child. Once, maybe 11, she slapped me with all her might over something trivial. I roared back and decked her. She never hit me again and even cried and apologized for striking me. It left a bruise on my face. If someone only sees the video though of me hitting my mom I'm a little devil. Complete BS.

I wouldn't be surprised if he got another chance. Hunt is a young guy who has a lot of good years left, someone will give him a chance. Greg Hardy, Michael Vick... why not him.

Again, he was no released for the hit. He was released for lying. He was let go for lying to the organization.
It was the lying that got him in trouble. For whatever reason this goes completely over the heads of people.

People who aren't stupid do not allow themselves to be baited into assault. I doubt she hurled the N word, that's straight out of every single black person's playbook to avoid consequences. He should have remained in the room with the door locked and called the front desk and police. That's how adults handle situations that aren't life threatening or physically threatening. He's an idiot. He's also young and probably brought up by an excuse maker for a mother and no father.

I get called the “N” word by patients at least twice a month, so I don’t doubt his experience seeing as I actually live in the same skin as Kareem Hunt. I’m verbally assaulted and threatened by the same individuals I’m helping keep alive. I’m sure the same happens in NFL stadiums across the nation. He can’t react on the job just like I can’t. I’ve never let that slide outside of a place of employment. Not at school. Not on a basketball court. Not in the mall. I’m not interested in policing anyone’s reaction to bigotry. Our experiences shape who we are and how we react to things. Like I said, he should have sent his security out there to handle it. Oh well. It happened.

I can’t speak for Kareem Hunt on how he was raised. My father was always there though. Married to my mother since before I was born. They were high school sweethearts. He’s retired NAVY. Gulf War Veteran. He told me if somebody ever calls you that word you beat their ass and I’ll come take up for you. So maybe Hunt has a dad like mine.

I don't know where you work, but I don't believe that for a second. Nearly every time a black person and 5 of their friends jumped someone they tried to get out of the consequences with said lie. Oh they called me ...... No one called them that. But if you do react with violence when an idiot calls you a name enjoy your two daughters being raised without daddy. Well at least you showed them.

I work in the hospital. In the state where the woman who joked about attending a public hanging won the race for Senate. A state that historically has had more lynchings than any other and still had chattel slaves all the way up into the 1970’s. Quite honestly it doesn’t bother me whether you believe it or not. You don’t believe anything that doesn’t agree with your position; not even scholarly journal and socioeconomic studies. We’ve been through this before.

I have one daughter though. My oldest is a boy. He’s 5. If either are disrespected in that manner they’re free to respond how they see fit and I’ll be there to back them up like my father was for me. I’ve reacted violently anytime I’ve been called that word outside of my place of employment. Here I am. No jail record. Raising my kids.
