The Green Bay Packers have parted ways with Head Coach*Mike McCarthy*and named*Joe Philbininterim head coach, President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Murphy announced Sunday.
“The 2018 season has not lived up to the expectations and standards of the Green Bay Packers. As a result, I made the difficult decision to relieve Mike McCarthy of his role as head coach, effective immediately,” Murphy said. “Mike has been a terrific head coach and leader of the Packers for 13 seasons, during which time we experienced a great deal of success on and off the field. We want to thank Mike, his wife, Jessica, and the rest of the McCarthy family for all that they have done for the Packers and the Green Bay and Wisconsin communities. We will immediately begin the process of selecting the next head coach of the Green Bay Packers.”
President/CEO Mark Murphy will speak with the media Monday, Dec. 3 at 1:45 p.m.*

When the franchise player and the head coach don't get along, the head coach loses.

Now reading that the Falcons and Panthers might be looking for new coaches. I don't want McCarthy in our division.

Good luck to them... there's nobody good right now, that's worth bringing in.

Nevermind.

So, how does Jimmy Graham now feel about signing with the Fudge Packers?

McCarthy will have no problem finding a new role somewhere. He has proven his abilities as a coach and there are a lot of teams that could use his services. 13 years is a long time in the same organization. Couple that with Rodgers not playing well, the writing was on the wall and someone had to take the bullet. Agree though.....just don't want to see him in our division.

Jimmy signed for the money, it was never about the opportunity. No way any other team was going to pay him what the PACK offered. I still don't understand what they were thinking.

Jimmy is definitely a money guy. He used the NFLPA to try an leverage more money from us. I'm very happy he's gone and I'm equally happy we didn't bring him back.

A Super Bowl winning coach is on the street. Crazy, he won't be for long. Rodgers is the epitome of a D-I-V-A.
