Heisman Winner Kyler Murray’s baseball agent says he won’t play football
Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray won the Heisman Trophy on Saturday, but does he have a future in football?
Not according to his baseball agent, Scott Boras, who told NFL Media that Murray is dedicated to playing for the Oakland A’s. “Kyler has agreed and the A’s agreed to a baseball contract that gave him permission to play college football through the end of the collegiate season,” Boras said. “After that, he is under contract to play baseball. That is not a determination to make. It’s already done.” PFT | |

Re: Heisman Winner Kyler Murray’s baseball agent says he won’t play football
Oh Boras, if only you knew how much we don't care about your ramblings.
Kyler Murray has a baseball contract, yes, we know. If he wants to play football and forgo his baseball career, the A's can do nothing about it. So, no... The determination has not been made. Now, he may indeed decide to go ahead and quit football to focus on his baseball career. I suspect he is leaning that way. But scouts will be all over him for the next couple of months, and trying to talk him into a football career. He could easily change his mind. Blow hard agent. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.
