The Jets new uniforms
https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/04/04/ne...edesign-grades
From reading online, I think I am in the minority on opinions with these uniforms. Everyone so far seems to really hate them. I think these uniforms are OK. The Jets of my youth had the green helmet and that helmet still looks better just for having the white jet outline instead of the football. Had they just used that old helmet and changed the font, that would've been perfect. But still despite this, I strangely like their new helmet. I don't like the black jersey at all. Seems every team now has an alternate black jersey and they just look hideous. Our Saints, the Steelers and the Raiders should be the only teams with a black jersey IMO. On another note, I hope our uniforms don't get "updated". They are fine the way they are, though I do love the color rush white jerseys with the gold numbers. |

Re: The Jets new uniforms
I really dislike the new helmet. i think all that shiny chrome thingies are fit only for arena football. I'm quite the traditionalist when it comes to football uniforms.
The new green is a lot better than what they used to have. But the execution of the uniform isn't all that good. The striping is very bland. The black alternative uniform is just horrible. No need for that at all if you don't have black as one of your primary colours, especially since it doesn't mix well with a cold colour like green. |

The Jets need more than just a new uniform.

Re: The Jets new uniforms
As time has gone on, I've come to like their 80's era uniforms more. These new ones have a bit of that look, but perhaps too shiny, and I don't think I'm a fan of the black textures. Not sure yet.
