It seemed like the matter was solved, and Mayock had to stir the pot on his own team. Brown found his helmet, was prepared to play with it. You're the GM, of course you shouldn't let people walk over you, but you should also try to keep the peace and not do anything stupid. Mayock doing that **** and voiding his guaranteed money was stupid. Mayock is the GM, he isn't on the field every sunday playing. If Antonio Brown was disrespecting the coach or the locker room personnel that would be one thing. I don't like Brown, but I feel like this didn't have to happen, and only happened cause Mayock got butthurt or wanted to make sure everyone realized he was the king of the mountain.
Actually Hitta, more info is coming out - big issue was money and Brown wanted his fines for non-participation forgiven, and he wouldn't let it go...

Before the Pitt/Oakland trade, quite a few people in the media were saying .. "a new city, new coaches, change of scenery would do AB some good".

It's become crystal clear to me that AB has serious emotional and mental issues. He needs professional help, not football.

So AB gets exactly what he wants and the Patriots march their way to another Super Bowl. Unbelievable. I 100% guarantee you this was all coordinated.

It's really sad. Seems like a loophole. If a player stabs his team in the back and demands his release in order to become a free agent, there should be a cooldown period to return to the league, or at least any team that signs him has to take the same salary cap hit the Raiders would have took. Why should the Pats get Brown at roughly half price? It's low-key collusion.

Wow, LOL....

So much for all those smug comments from Steelers fans.

The Raiders are such a dumpster fire joke. This has all the makings of Randy Moss 2.0 written all over it.

The Raiders could have put him on the Reserve/Left Squad list and ended his season.

I wonder why they didn't exercise that right?

Honestly I had never heard that term used in the NFL until we did that with Rishard Matthews earlier this summer.

It's amazing how incompetent that organization is. The Raiders were crazy to give draft picks away for him in the first place.
