this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; Wouldn't surprise me to see the Rams move on from Gurley (unfortunate knee issue/classy dude) and Brandin Cooks in 2020....

They'll have no depth, which is their problem now. This will continue to be their problem.

Re: Jalen Ramsey traded to Rams

I think the Rams' bigger issues are on offense.

Jared Goff has been a below average QB ever since that nightmare game vs the Bears last year. Since that game he has thrown just 14 TDs and 14 INTs. So far this year, he's at 7/7 on his TD/INT ratio and his yards per game have dropped to the floor.

The Bears showed how to beat McVay's offense. You completely change your defensive formation and look after the 15 second cut off from the QB/Head coach mic in the helmet. Goff does not have a high football IQ to read defenses. Hence why he looked like a deer starring into headlights vs the Pats in the SB.

Because of his lack of football IQ, McVay can't simply put the game in his hands like Payton can do with Brees or Belichick and McDaniels with Brady.

It's easy to blame it all on Gurley's issues, but they had problems before he got injured going back to that Chicago game where their offense was thoroughly undressed and exposed.

The 49ers concern me more than the Rams. That team has something of a magical aura around them. The Rams and Seahawks both have just been barely squeaking games out by the skin of their teeth. Against the same opponents, the Niners are scrubbing the floor with those teams. I look for them to pummel Seattle when they finally play.
