Lamar Jackson

this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; Wow. This guy is fun to watch. He epitomizes "dynamic" but he's going to get hurt, and that's going to be too bad....

Re: Lamar Jackson

Yeah, the Ravens are unabashedly going all college style with him. That's all fine and dandy, until you have Donovan McNabb knees after a couple of years. There's a reason most teams have always shied away from letting their QB's run, whether they had the ability or not.

Re: Lamar Jackson

A few weeks ago everyone was talking about how the Patriots were unbeatable and that they may go undefeated, etc, etc. Now I just don't see how the Patriots have any chance getting passed the Ravens. Belichick is a genius, so perhaps he will come up with an amazing game strategy, but the Patriots better pray that the Ravens get knocked of by someone like KC before they meet.. otherwise it'll be the Ravens playing us in the Super Bowl.

I want to throw this out there though. I do expect Lamar Jackson to regress next year. I think Lamar is a somewhat above average thrower of the football, but definitely not elite. Compared to some of the other guys that have had amazing starts only to be shut down in the following seasons(RG3) for example.. I think Lamar is far more effective, will be harder to solve, and will have a long prosperous career. He will be slowed down some once teams have an offseason to think over an approach. It won't be this year though.

Re: Lamar Jackson

Everybody gets hurt. It won’t be because he scrambles. It’s far more likely any injury that he’ll endure will take place while he’s in the pocket.

Re: Lamar Jackson

Incredible performance. I totally get why people are talking about him. However, somewhere in the 3rd quarter I saw he took a solid hit on a play running to the sidelines, I was kinda surprised he got up alright. As others have said, it's just a matter of time.

Re: Lamar Jackson

They sure look scary good. I'm happy for Ingram, Snead and I will always be a fan of John Harbaugh after gifting us Wil Lutz. I could definitely see a Saints- Ravens SB.
