Not a good year to be a QB looking for a job.

Never thought I'd see a year with so many choices at QB.

Re: Sources: Lions in trade talks to deal Matthew Stafford

One day someone will argue that he belongs in the HOF due to his volume stats. Teams don't trade HOF QBs.

He's a good QB that's been stuck on a horrible team. As a result people assume he is overrated.

Kind of like the Archie Manning situation, great QB not so great team.

He is overrated and was never worth that mega contract that the Lions gave him. Not a coincidence that after overpaying him, they stopped making the playoffs.

His career record vs teams with a winning record speaks for itself, kinda like Kirk Cousins but he don't get near the flack that Cousins gets. Cousins won a playoff game though.

And as for the Archie Manning comparison; Stafford has been on far better teams than Archie was. He's made the playoffs a number of times and put up volume stats.

Stafford has also had three different head Coach's. But I agree he got the big money and got fat and happy.

I always thought Stafford was just an unchanging QB. It's the same thing with him. He's made no progress since his peak in 2014. The team is worse without him but there are better QBs out there.

Their best coach in recent years was Jim Caldwell. They ran him out of town and have been falling ever since.

Stafford has a career record 6-49 all time against teams above .500. That record speaks for itself.

The Lions were nuts to pay him that ridiculous contract. He don't have a single career playoff win that justified it.
