They damn near succeeded.
Then I come back inside the wire to see people disgracing me and everyone I serve with that provides their freedom. Not even poor people either. People that live in the lap of luxury complaining and people that don't even vote like 80% of the NBA. |

I answered the call from the family letting us know when my parents were still at work. I was nine.
We as a family lived in fear every day while my dad was flying those missions and hearing about those planes going down. A good friend of Dad's was among those downed. He spent several years at the Hanoi Hilton and returned without both his legs. He was a regular visitor to our house for many years after. Was I serving in the military? No. But as most other dependents and spouses of wartime military we lived through very real parts of the horror as well! As I shared in an earlier thread, my very own life and my left leg was saved by those USAF surgeons that were saving lives and legs of kids only two years older than me. I was sixteen. Was I in your skin? No. Were you in mine? No. Are we in others ... no. |

I am alive and know the price. I paid damn near in full. My battle buddies that died paid in full.
You paid nothing. 0.0. Adding your relatives still equals your contribution. 0. Never was your life in danger. Trying to compare yourself to people who's lives were actually in danger and people that were scared as hell day in an day out is beyond pathetic. You never served. You are not special for seeing people wounded. I saw it for over a year and I was wounded. I talked to them daily. Went through treatment with them. You did nothing. |

May God lay his hand upon you and bring you healing. You are not alone in your suffering. Reach out to others that can help. Seriously. |

Re: NFL TNF Ratings: 10 Year low
I'm done suffering and do not need help. I only needed a damn good doctor which I did get to fix my body. Not everyone is a weak azz panzie who can't handle personal grief. I don't want or need your empathy or sympathy or anyone else's. That part of my life is over.
Just stop disrespecting the people that provide the freedom and security for the country. They get it right 99% of the time. We do not burn down cities, kill innocent people and loot businesses for that 1%. They will never be perfect. Nobody is perfect. We have a legal system to deal with them just like Darren Sharper and Mark Ingram's Daddy. We don't burn down the Superdome. |
