... VERY different to get hit when you got pads and a helmet on
Speaking of Liddell, I was expecting Rampage to win that fight, just not as quick and in the way he did. And speaking of the UFC, is it me, or are the fights nowadays called different depending who's fighting? It seems to me that prelim fights with lesser known fighters are not stopped as quickly as the top billings. Back in the day, regardless of who was fighting, a guy could be laying flat on his back, with arms spread open, the other guy pounding away, and the commentator would say something like "he's defending himself by spitting blood on the other guy's eye'... ok, obviously an exageration, but you know what I mean. |

I think most of the fighters in the MMA were probably pissed off that Morton was getting the attention he was getting after only training TWO months. Most of these guys have been living and breathing MMA alot longer than that and have to work their way up the ranks before getting any kind of billing in a PPV arena. He looked like a spaz when he went after the other fighter so needless to say he had it coming. Not to mention he had some sort of drug in his system because he refused the mandatory drug test at the hospital and was suspended. Now if only Barry Bonds would fight in the octagon....
