My oldest son graduated from bootcamp....

at Lackland on Friday, damn I was so proud I cried. Our family has a tradition of military service. I am a Marine and so is his mother. My Dad and his father were both Marines. Damn we're good at fighting I guess.

I'm glad he went into the Air Force and he picked Security Forces as his MOS, oh well I couldn't have everything.

Cogratulations!

.. it does seem you and yours are a bellicose clan :) , but, hey, it takes a better man than me to serve one's country that way.

Congrats again.

Congratulations. My Dad served in the Navy and then the Army (Korea & Vietnam) for 22 years and passed away recently. We lost a Hero. Tell your son we are all extremely proud, not just you Cheramie.

Congrats Cheramie.
20+ years of service and still going Army Strong with the Army Guard. Prepping for the next trip to the Sandbox in '08.
He has chosen an honorable and proud tradition to follow, and one which more should be required to fill. He, you, and others like us are the exception in this nation as we are the .5% of the populace that ensures the freedoms of the 100% who benefit.

You're allowed to thump your chest and shed a tear bro!

Congrats!!! I am currently in the USAF serving in Biloxi at Keesler AFB. I was really interested to see where you grandson was going because my job is a Military Training Leader. We get the Airmen after basic training, they dont only learn their specialty, they finish their military training, and thats where I come in. I actually know some of the MTL's there at Lackland in the Security Forces Training Squadron.
Congrats!!

Because if not for brave people like him, the citizens of this great nation would not be able to enjoy Freedom, Faith, and Football.

And we also meet people and make friends and we like to celebrate with these people when something good happens to them. I'm not trying to be a *rick, but this just isn't necessary.

Thanks to everyone for your support. I never saw enough combat and I wish my son doesn't see any. The fighting force of the United States is only limited by it's leadership and was certainly haven't had any presidents who were battle inclined.
