Re: New Orleans metal scene

Holy crap, I didn't know there were MetalHeads here!

I am old schools metal though. Born into metal in 1981 when I heard the song Killers by Iron Maiden.

Slayer
Maiden
Pantera
Sepultura
TestamenT

DOWN Freakin Love em!

Slipknot Breath of fresh air in an age where bands calling themselves metal really aren't.

If you like Slipknot, you should try the band Lamb of God. They are PURE AMERICAN F*CKIN METAL!!!

Re: New Orleans metal scene

I've been following Dax Riggs since Acid Bath, and I have to say he is in my top 5 rock vocalists ever. When you look at the range from the screaming heaviness of Acid Bat to the almost crooning Deadboy and now to the Dax Riggs band.
Let's not forget Crowbar when we talk about New Orleans metal. They were always one of my favorites.
