Wonder what color it is after it's boiled?

You know...I believe you are right. I spent a lot of time as a kid dragging kitchen utensils through ditches catching those buggers. (It took me awhile to figure-out that if you put the net or whatever behind them and then scare them they would back-fish right into the net!)

I'm almost certain I already came across a few...but I can't be totally sure. It was so long ago, but that dang thing just looks so familiar.

Re: Time for some crawfish, even if it's blue!

cold as its been, they're probably ALL blue right now.

That's what I thought this thread was gonna be about.

Anyway, my swamp dweller friend and I are hitting the backwaters of the lower Trinity River (near I-10, thats all I'll reveal) --- a HIGHLY underrated crawfish haven next weekend with traps, trot lines, and various firearms. We've already had some great catfish catches, though the snake-shooting has been a bit disappointing. Water moccasins are nasty vile creatures devoid of any purpose-- I dont even think you can make decent leather products of them-- so they must DIE!

Im not expecting much, but we just need to get out there and give it a try---
